Azadeh Dastmalchi, MSc’10 has been named as a recipient of WXN's Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Award. Azadeh Dastmalchi is the CEO and Co-Founder of VitalTracer, a medical startup that creates smart wearable devices that monitor vital signs and provide personalized feedback.

Dr. Brian Feagan, MD’83, FRCPC’88 was appointed to the Clinical Advisory Board of Palisade Bio, Inc., a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel therapeutics for patients with autoimmune, inflammatory, and fibrotic diseases. 

The University of Alabama at Birmingham presented the 2024 President’s Medal to Dr. Marnix E. Heersink, MD’73, during the graduate commencement ceremony Saturday, Dec. 14. The President’s Medal recognizes Heersink’s exemplary service to UAB.

Dr. Amanda Selk, MD’04 was named one of the 2024 Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada by the Women's Executive Network. She was honoured in the Professionals category, recognizing women who are professionals in practice and play a leadership role within their organizations.

Dr. Cassandra Stiller-Moldovan, Resident’24 will join a new Colwood Clinic in the City of Colwood. Dr. Stiller-Moldovan graduated from medical school with second-class honours at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. She then trained in family medicine at Western University before completing the Sport and Exercise Medicine fellowship at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic.
